PRECISION ALLSTAR TUMBLING CLINICS

PAC/PRECISION_ALLSTAR_TUMBLING.jpg
Precision Tumbling Clinics provide athletes with an excellent opportunity to work on specific skills needed to prepare for All-Star or school cheerleading tryouts. At these clinics our coaches are also able to evaluate specific aspects about each individual athlete.

Our tumbling clinics are taught with levels 1-5. The governing body for All-Star cheerleading, the USASF (United States All-Star Federation) divides the sport into levels based on tumbling and stunting skills you can perform. We have divided our clinics into these same tumbling levels so that you can see what level your child is currently performing as a tumbler. Your child should sign up for the skill level that she can perform unspotted at present, not the level for skills she is working to master. She will be working on skills for the next level (ex. Level 3 clinic will be working on level 4 skills).

Listed below is how the USASF divides the levels for tumbling: (For example, if an All-Star team is going to compete at Level 3 then the majority of the team should have ALL the skills listed below for Level 3). So for our tumbling clinic, in order to be in Level 3 an athlete must have ALL the skills listed in Level 3 and she will be working to learn and master the skills listed for Level 4!

Level 1 - cartwheels, round offs, back walkovers

Level 2 - standing back handsprings, round off back handsprings

Level 3 – round off handspring tucks, series standing back handsprings, jumps to back handspring

Level 4 – standing back tucks; back handspring tucks; combination to tucks; layouts

Level 5 - jumps to tuck; fulls; double fulls; standing back handsprings to fulls; trick passes

Description of tumbling levels and requirements:

Clinic Level 1 No minimum requirement. Students will be perfecting level 1 skills and working to attain level 2 skills.

Clinic Level 2 Students MUST be able to perform a standing back handspring and a round off back handspring. They will be working to attain level 3 skills.
